Another feature film, another barnstorming US tour. More UK television appearances - still some of which were not retained by the broadcasting companies. The overall number of appearances starts to fall off this year though, as the group begin to be more selective about their workload.

'Help'! was filmed over this 11 week period in the Bahamas, Austria and England.

'Thank Your Lucky Stars'
The Beatles took a break from filming 'Help!' to record their final appearance on 'Thank Your Lucky Stars' for ABC Televison on Birmingham. They mimed to 'Eight Days a Week', 'Yes It Is' and 'Ticket to Ride'. The show was broadcast on 3 April 1965 and though at least one still picture is around, the film is thought to be lost.

'Top of the Pops'
The Beatles appeared on 'Top of the Pops' for the BBC to mime to 'Ticket to Ride' and 'Yes It Is'. The show was broadcast on 15 April 1965 and no complete copy is thought to exist today, though a 15 second excerpt of 'Ticket To Ride' was used in an episode of the classic Science Fiction series 'Dr. Who' called 'The Chase'.

NME Poll Winner's Concert
The Beatles performed live at the New Musical Express 1964-65 Annual Poll Winner's All Star Concert at the Empire Pool, Wembley. They sang 'I Feel Fine', 'She's a Woman', 'Baby's in Black', 'Ticket To Ride' and 'Long Tall Sally'. The show was filmed by ABC television and broadcast on 18 April 1965.

'The Eamonn Andrews Show'
The same day as the NME Concert apearance, the bos also recorded an interview and songs for 'The Eamonn Andrews Show', miming to 'Ticket to Ride' and 'Yes It Is'. ABC Television broadcast the show live and no record is though to exist.

'Les Beatles'
The second of two shows at the Palais des Sports in Paris was recorded by French Television Station Channel 2. Their full set of 12 songs was recorded, which included 'Twist And Shout', 'She's A Woman', 'I'm A Loser', 'Can't Buy Me Love', 'Baby's In Black', 'I Wanna Be Your Man', 'A Hard Day's Night', 'Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby', 'Rock and Roll Music', 'I Feel Fine', 'Ticket To Ride' and 'Long Tall Sally'. The show was broadcast in France as a thirty minute concert film 'Les Beatles' on 31 October 1965, minus 'I Feel Fine', though this track has also surfaced.

'Blackpool Night Out'
Following their european tour, but before leaving again for the States, The Beatles made a return appearance on ABC televisions 'Mike and Bernie Winter's Blackpool Night Out'. They sang six songs live 'I Feel Fine', 'I'm Down', 'Act Naturally', 'Ticket To Ride', 'Yesterday' (a solo by Paul), and 'Help!'.

'The Ed Sullivan Show'
The Beatles, back in New York, taped six songs for 'The Ed Sullivan Show'. They recorded 'I Feel Fine', 'I'm Down', 'Act Naturally', 'Ticket To Ride', 'Yesterday', and 'Help!'. In fact, the same set as performed at Blackpool at the start of the month. The show was broadcast on 12 September 1965.

Shea Stadium
The famous Shea Stadium concert in New York. The whole concert was filmed and broadcast, first by the BBC on 1 March 1966. The full set consisted of 'She's A Woman', 'Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby', 'Twist and Shout', 'Act Naturally', 'I Feel Fine', 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy', 'Ticket To Ride', 'Can't Buy Me Love', 'Baby's in Black', 'A Hard Day's Night', 'Help!' and 'I'm Down'.

'The Music of Lennon and McCartney'

A Granada TV special 'The Music of Lennon and McCartney' was recorded over these two days. It featured a number of artists performing John and Paul's songs, as well as The Beatles themselves mimng to 'Day Tripper' and 'We Can Work It Out'. Paul and Marianne Faithful also duetted on 'Yesterday'. The show was first broadcast on 16 December 1965.

Twickenham Studio Promos
As an alternative to more TV shows, The Beatles spent this day at Twickenham Film Studios filming ten promotional videos for their latest songs. They were 'We Can Work It Out' (3 versions), 'Day Tripper' (3 versions), 'Help!' (1 version), 'Ticket To Ride' (1 version), and 'I Feel Fine' (2 Versions).
